15th BBC at UT San Antonio

In March of 2023, a part of our team attended the Behavior, Biology, and Chemistry: Translational Research in Addiction Conference held by UT San Antonio Health for its 15th annual meeting. This conference in particular aims to encapsulate the intersectionality within addiction research while bringing scientists and trainees of all backgrounds together. Dr. Doyle was selected to give an oral presentation about preliminary Alcohol GWAS data while Selen and Ran's projects were chosen for poster presentations. Talks were given by scientists across the country detailing the ongoing state-of-the-art research in various institutions. Additionally, poster presentation sessions allowed for the showcasing of even more projects and promoted active discussions between peers. Overall, it was an exciting trip to San Antonio where we met incredible individuals while surrounded by the latest research in our field.
